Fay
began painting as a young child and concentrated on commercial art in high
school. College, marriage, children, advanced education and a career in
education in Fairfax County, Virginia occupied her time for the next
decades. During these years she often worked as a pastime with bold and
bright acrylics.
Now retired, Fay has returned to
her art and
has taken classes from Terri
Buckner, Susan Duke, Joan Sanders and Marcus McClanahan.
Her subject matter
ranges from seashores to mountains. Florals, landscapes, marsh scenes and
seaside pictures are among her favorites.
Fay is a member of the Waterway Art
Association, Wilmington Art Association and Brunswick County Council of the
Arts.
Her
work is in many private collections and in the Sunset River Marketplace
