Rozanne Anderson

 

Rozanne Anderson has close ties to both of the Carolinas.  Born in Jacksonville North Carolina, she lived in Charleston, South Carolina in the late 1960’s returning to Durham, North Carolina in 1971. She held memberships in both the Durham and Charleston Art Leagues and the North Carolina Watercolor Society at those times. She has lived in Medina, Ohio since the mid seventies and spends her winters in Sunset Beach.

Rozanne earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Akron in 1993. She has minors in both printmaking and drawing and also has studied both intaglio and lithography at Kent State University. She works in different media including printmaking, watercolor, oil and acrylic. She is an experienced teacher having taught printmaking at the University of Akron in 1996 and painting classes both privately and in Adult Education programs for over 20 years.  She teaches a painting class during the winter in Calabash through the Waterway Art Association. 

Rozanne has received many awards for her paintings and  prints and has been a juror both for the Ohio Watercolor Society and juror or awards judge at numerous juried art festivals. In North Carolina her paintings are in the collections of the North Carolina National Bank, Wachovia Bank and Trust and B F Goodrich. In Ohio they are in the collections of Ameritrust, Centran and First Savings of Massilon banks as well as the Ohio Arts and Crafts Foundation and the Zanesville Art Center.
